Mesos FAQ

How do you make mesos in MapleStory Classic?

Mesos come from monster drops, quest rewards and selling items, either to NPC shops or to other players from a shop in the Free Market (a Store Permit from the Cash Shop is needed). Crafting materials and Kerning PQ rewards are the most traded items; the biggest costs are potions, throwing stars or arrows, and a house in Henesys or Kerning City.

How does the Free Market work in MapleStory Classic?

Players open shops in the Free Market rooms (Nexon added Rooms 12–20 at the Grand Launch) or in fields and sell to each other for mesos. Opening a shop needs a Store Permit from the Cash Shop.

Why can’t I trade or open a shop?

New accounts have a trade restriction: trading opens 24 hours after a character on the account reaches level 15.

How much does a house cost in MapleStory Classic?

Houses are bought with mesos from the Housing Registrar, but Nexon has not published the price. You need the Visitor Citizenship grade first.

Are mesos shared with modern MapleStory?

No. Only the NX balance is shared; mesos, items and characters stay in Classic World.
