    3rd job itself, Ossyria (Orbis and El Nath) and Archon, the first boss raid. Nexon gave no dates and apologised for the Ossyria delay.

  1. Unscheduled maintenance (2 hours)

    • Server optimizations after more players than expected joined at launch.
    • Fixed: Signature Eye Color Coupon missing green; Kerning PQ coupons and passes could not be dropped by new accounts.

  2. Grand Launch, v1.0.0

    • Free for everyone from 11:00 a.m. PDT after a 5-hour maintenance.
    • Windia expanded to 40 channels; Free Market Rooms 12–20; Kerning PQ on Channels 3–12.
    • The Murky Swamp II added near Kerning City; new Victoria Island quests and drops; more potion drops from monsters level 10–30; field boss respawns more random.
    • Skill changes: Swordsman HP recovery from items +20–50%, Iron Body Weapon DEF +20–40%, Magician MP recovery from items +10–25%, Dark Sight semi-transparent to everyone.
    • Fixes: Final Attack lasting 30 instead of 60 seconds, Poison Breath double MP cost, 2nd job advancement failing with a full Use inventory.

  3. Grand Launch release notes

    • Housing, Stumpy as the sixth boss, the Excavation Site in Perion, the Lie Detector Test, and a trade restriction for new accounts until 24 hours after a character reaches level 15.

  4. MapleStory Fest: Classic World Dev Panel

    • Nexon showed the post-launch roadmap on its Fest livestream (Twitch). The dated items are listed under “What is coming”.

  5. Megaphones need level 15

    • From the Grand Launch every Megaphone item needs level 15 instead of 10; items already owned keep level 10.

  6. Minor patch (3 hours)

    • Korean (Beta) display language.
    • Chat limited to English, Spanish and Korean characters; Megaphones English only.
    • Maple Administrator added to Kerning City; Civic Center easier to reach.
    • Fixes: invisible Store Permit shops under Dark Sight, Bandit Steal on a miss, double EXP and drops from damage-over-time kills, several disconnects, 100% scrolls blocked by the “Lucky Day” effect.

    • Fixed some players not reaching Channels 1–4.
    • Cleric Heal fixes.

  8. Founder’s Access opens

    • 11:00 a.m. PDT for Orange Mushroom and Zakum package owners. Maple Island, Victoria Island, four jobs up to 2nd job, level cap 100, five bosses, Kerning PQ, Crafting and Citizenship.

  9. Inkwell on Classic World

    • Not a 1:1 recreation; deliberately slow progression; 3rd job and some regions may arrive one after another; a new boss is in development; the roadmap was promised for MapleStory Fest.

  10. Founder’s Packages on sale

    • Snail, Orange Mushroom and Zakum packages; the Orange Mushroom and Zakum packages included Founder’s Access on 6 October. Sales ended 14 October, 11:59 p.m. PDT.

  11. Closed Online Test #2

    • Added Citizenship and macOS; the airship to Ossyria (Orbis, El Nath, Dead Mine) from 8 August; 3rd job at level 70 to test. Wiped after the test.

Crafting

Classic World-original system: turn collected materials into items; available from Lv. 10.

  • Officially live since Founder's Access (2026-10-06); first added in Closed Online Test #1 (April 2026).
  • Visit crafting NPCs to see recipes and required materials; crafting more raises your crafting skill and unlocks more recipes (official).
  • Six professions and NPCs (official release notes): Smithing - Silas Irons; Weaponcrafting - Mr. Thunder; Tailoring - Francois; Woodcrafting - Vicious; Leatherworking - JM From tha Streetz; Arcforge - Chrishrama.
  • Official 2026-10-15 patch mentions a 'Woodcrafting Kit' item and crafting EXP (bug fix), confirming per-profession crafting EXP.

Citizenship

Classic World-original town-residency system for Henesys and Kerning City; available from Lv. 12.

  • Become a Henesys citizen via Arthur (Henesys Town Hall) or a Kerning City citizen via Roxy (Kerning City Civic Center) (official).
  • Official perks: access to special items in the local specialty shop; discount on Cab prices; discount on Storage Keeper services; discount on some general store items.
  • Each town's Community Board has requests from residents; completing them earns Contribution toward your Citizenship grade; higher grade unlocks more ways to help the town (official).
  • Introduced in Closed Online Test #2 (Aug 2026); COT2 infographic: 2.6K Henesys citizens, 3.3K Kerning City citizens.

When is 3rd job coming to MapleStory Classic?

Nexon has not given a release date for 3rd job: at MapleStory Fest on 17 October 2026 it announced a 3rd job test server for early 2027, and Orbis and El Nath also have no date. The dated roadmap is Forgotten Hollow on 18 November and guilds with a new party quest on 9 December 2026.

What was announced for Classic World at MapleStory Fest 2026?

Housing at the Grand Launch, Halloween from 28 October, Forgotten Hollow and the Moon Bunny party quest in November, guilds, a Forgotten Hollow party quest and Happyville on 9 December, a 3rd job test server in early 2027, and Archon, the first boss raid, in development.

What was the last Classic World patch?

An unscheduled maintenance on 22 October 2026 with server optimizations after the launch rush and fixes for Kerning PQ coupons and the Signature Eye Color Coupon.

What changed in v1.0.0?

Is the Classic World level cap going up?

Nexon has not announced a new level cap; it stays at 100. Fan recaps of the Fest panel say equipment stops at level 50 for now and will rise with updates.
