Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar describes it as a single-player experience, and no PC version or online mode has been announced. Pre-orders are open and preload starts on 12 November. Here is what is confirmed and where to read more.

Setting and Story
GTA 6 is set in the fictional state of Leonida, Rockstar's take on Florida, centred on Vice City. Rockstar has shown six regions: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. Our GTA 6 map guide covers each one.

Price, Editions and Pre-Orders

Online Mode
Rockstar calls GTA 6 a single-player experience, and no online mode has been announced. Take-Two says GTA Online on GTA V will keep being supported. Nothing has been announced about carrying GTA Online progress across. More in will GTA 6 have online.
Platforms and PC
Launch platforms are PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version and no crossplay, since there is no multiplayer. No PC version has been announced; GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 reached PC a year or more after consoles, but that is precedent, not a promise. See is GTA 6 on PC and platforms and crossplay.
Release Date History
The game was first given an autumn 2025 window, then delayed to 26 May 2026 and again to 19 November 2026. Take-Two repeated the November date in its May and August 2026 earnings releases. Full dated list in our GTA 6 delay timeline.
GTA 6 Accounts
No real GTA 6 accounts exist before launch, and because the game launches single-player there is no online progression to sell on day one. Any listing selling a GTA 6 account with progress today is a scam. If you want one after launch, leave a request on our GTA 6 page and we will email you if we can source it.
