Mobile Legends support guide
Supports win games without topping the damage chart: they keep the carry alive, give the team vision and speed, and make the enemy’s best skill miss its target.
Updated 30 October 2026 for Season 42, patch 2.2.16a (October 2026).
Two kinds
Healers and utility supports
| Type | What it does | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Healer | Keeps allies alive in long fights | Estes, Rafaela, Floryn, Angela |
| Utility | Crowd control, saves, mobility or vision | Diggie, Mathilda, Kaja, Chip, Carmilla |
A healer is strongest when the team brawls in long fights; a utility support is strongest against heroes that rely on crowd control or burst. In ranked solo queue, healers forgive teammates’ mistakes, which is why they are popular at lower ranks. At higher ranks, teams often prefer a tank or a utility support that can start fights.
Hero pool
Supports worth learning in Season 42
| Hero | Signature tool | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Rafaela | Healing, speed and a line stun | Easy |
| Estes | Links to an ally for constant healing; an area heal ultimate | Easy |
| Angela | Attaches to an ally anywhere on the map with her ultimate | Easy |
| Floryn | Gives her lantern to an ally; a map-wide heal | Easy |
| Diggie | Ultimate cleanses crowd control from all nearby allies | Medium |
| Mathilda | Guides an ally with speed and a shield | Medium |
| Kaja | Suppresses one enemy and pulls them to the team | Medium |
| Chip | Builds portals that move the team across the map | Hard |
| Carmilla | Links enemies so they share crowd control | Medium |
| Marcel | The 2026 roam support, released March 2026; adjusted in patch 2.2.16 | Medium |
Season 42 notes: patch 2.2.16 buffed Kaja and adjusted Marcel; the hotfix 2.2.16a nerfed Rafaela and buffed Kalea. Healing items such as Flask of the Oasis exist specifically for heroes like Angela, Estes, Floryn and Carmilla.
Your boots
The four roaming blessings
Every roamer, tank or support, buys boots and picks a roaming blessing. All four give the holder extra gold and EXP from assists early in the match and share income with the lowest-earning ally. Conceal is the only one with an active button.
| Blessing | Type | What it does | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conceal | Active | Hides nearby allies and speeds them up for a surprise engage | Initiating tanks and supports that set up ambushes |
| Encourage | Passive | Boosts nearby allies’ damage | Supports that stay near the carry in fights |
| Favor | Passive | Increases healing and shields you give | Healers: Estes, Rafaela, Floryn, Angela |
| Dire Hit | Passive | Adds a burst of bonus damage to your hits on enemy heroes; reworked in recent patches, so read the in-game text | Roamers with damage of their own |
Early game
Which ally to follow
- The jungler for the first buff, so a surprise invade does not take it.
- The Gold lane marksman for the first minutes, the weakest laner on the map.
- The Turtle at 2:00 with the jungler.
- Wherever the next fight is. After the first Turtle, follow the hero who will fight next, usually the jungler or the mid laner.
Later in the match, attach yourself to your main damage dealer, often the marksman. Your skills are worth most on the ally the enemy wants dead.
Mid and late game
Support in team fights
- Save your key skill for the enemy’s key skill. Diggie’s ultimate is for the enemy tank’s engage; Estes’ heal is for the moment the assassin dives.
- Stand behind your frontline but in range of your carry.
- Give vision. Walk ahead of the team to check bushes when the enemy is missing, but only with your tank or with an escape.
- Buy anti-heal if nobody else does. Dominance Ice or Glowing Wand on a support is often the most important item in a match against a healer.
Build, Season 42
Support items, emblems and spells
| Goal | Item |
|---|---|
| Healers | Flask of the Oasis |
| Cooldowns | Fleeting Time, Enchanted Talisman |
| Anti-heal | Dominance Ice (defensive) or Glowing Wand (magic) |
| Survival | Oracle, Immortality, magic and physical defence items |
The Support emblem gives healing effect, cooldown reduction and movement speed; Focusing Mark, which makes your target take more damage from allies, is a strong talent on supports who poke. Spells: Flicker on most supports; Revitalize and Aegis protect the team in long fights; Arrival is a niche choice. See the emblems and battle spells guide and the roam guide.
Avoid these
Support mistakes
- Healing allies who are already safe while the carry dies.
- Using the key save skill on the first damage instead of the dangerous damage.
- Taking last hits from the marksman.
- Walking ahead into fog with no escape and no tank.
- Staying with a carry who is farming safely instead of helping the jungler at an objective.
- Skipping anti-heal when nobody else on the team builds it.
Pairing
Supports and the carries they suit
| Support | Best with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Estes | Immobile marksmen like Layla or Miya | Constant healing through long fights |
| Angela | Divers and assassins | She attaches to them as they dive and shields them |
| Mathilda | Mages and marksmen who need to reposition | Speed and a shield to escape |
| Diggie | Any carry against heavy crowd control | His ultimate cleanses the team |
| Floryn | A spread-out team | Her ultimate heals allies across the map |
| Kaja | Burst teams | He drags one enemy into the team’s damage |
In solo queue you do not choose your carry, so read your team before you pick: an immobile marksman wants Estes or Rafaela, a team of divers wants Angela or Mathilda, and a team that lacks crowd control wants Kaja or a tank.
Practice plan
How to get better at support
- Pick one healer and one utility support and play them in Classic until you know their cooldowns by heart.
- In every match, count how many times your key skill saved an ally; aim to raise that number, not your damage.
- Watch replays from your carry’s point of view: where did they need you and where were you?
- Learn the enemy’s dangerous skills by name; a support who knows what to wait for times saves far better.
- Practise moving with the team: in the late game, a support should almost never be more than a short walk from the main carry.
Supports also carry the team’s mood. Quick chat for objectives and retreats, a calm reaction to mistakes and good timing on “Gather” do more for a solo-queue team than any item. The ranked guide covers solo queue habits in detail.
Answers
Mobile Legends support guide: FAQ
What is the best support in Mobile Legends?
For beginners, Estes, Rafaela and Angela. Mathilda, Kaja and Chip reward experienced players with saves and engages.
What roaming blessing should a healer take?
Favor, which increases healing and shields. Conceal suits supports that start fights.
Should a support take last hits?
No. The roaming blessing pays you from assists and shares income with allies; taking minions makes the team poorer.
Can a support carry the game?
A support decides fights by saving the right ally or landing the right crowd control. In that sense yes, but through the team.
