LUK main, DEX for claw reqs (15 at Lv15 ... 30 at Lv30; ~132 LUK at Lv30). SP: Lucky Seven 20 first, then Nimble Body 15, Keen Eyes 15, Disorder 3, Dark Sight 8 (dagger Bandit may take Double Stab/Dark Sight instead). Claw punching still exists
Levels 30–100: stats and SP order
+1 DEX/+4 LUK per level to Lv61, then all LUK -> ~61 DEX/301 LUK base. DEXless is 35-39% weaker (henesys.gg). SP: Haste at 30, keep Lucky Seven early; SP Reset ~Lv40 (7,000 NX) then Dagger Mastery/Booster -> Savage Blow; without reset Mastery before Savage Blow
No AoE skill at launch (Meso Explosion/Boomerang Step later). Steal duration 30->60s at launch. Short reach, MP-heavy. henesys.gg difficulty: High

- Dark Sight now makes the character semi-transparent to every player, not only party members (v1.0.0, 21 October).
- Fixed on 15 October: Steal could trigger drops and its buff even when the attack missed.

Level 1 to 30
Getting to 2nd job
- Finish the Maple Island quests (about level 8), then take the boat to Victoria Island.
- At level 10 talk to Dark Lord in Kerning City for 1st job (Rogue). Put AP into LUK.
- Train through the 20s; Kerning PQ opens at 21.
- At level 30 return to Dark Lord, pass the instructor test (30 Dark Marbles for The Proof of a Hero, per community guides) and choose Bandit. Keep a free Use slot.

When do you become a Bandit in MapleStory Classic?
At level 30. Take 1st job as Rogue from Dark Lord in Kerning City at level 10, then return to the same NPC at level 30 and choose Bandit as your 2nd job.
