Heal, Bless and Holy Arrow: the safest and most wanted party job. Magician 2nd job at level 30; weapon, key skills, the stat build and SP order players use, strengths and weaknesses.

  • The lowest single-target damage of the ten jobs in that benchmark.
  • Holy Arrow now hits one target; Heal damage is lower than in pre-Big Bang MapleStory.
Solo

Safe and steady on undead maps (Zombie Mushrooms, Jr. Wraiths, Zombie Lupins); slow elsewhere.

Party

The best support job at launch: Heal and Bless.

Levels 10–30: Magician build

INT main; LUK only for wand reqs (Lv20 10, Lv25 15, Lv30 20). SP: Energy Bolt 20 first, Magic Guard, Improved MP Recovery, then Magic Armor 20 and Max MP Increase 15 (default armor-first)

Levels 30–100: stats and SP order

Base LUK = level - 10, rest INT (+4 INT/+1 LUK per level Lv31-70). SP party: Holy Arrow max (Lv41) -> Invincible 5, Bless 16 -> Heal, MP Eater -> Teleport. SP solo: Holy Arrow -> Invincible max -> MP Eater -> Teleport -> Heal, Bless 1

Lowest single-target damage of all branches at L70 but highest EHP and support (MeowDB). Heal damage 'considerably lower than in pre-Big Bang'. Holy Arrow changed COT2->launch from 3 targets/60 to 1 target/160. henesys.gg difficulty: Low

Level 1 to 30

Getting to 2nd job

  1. Finish the Maple Island quests (about level 8), then take the boat to Victoria Island.
  2. At level 10 talk to Grendel the Really Old in Ellinia for 1st job (Magician). Put AP into INT.
  3. Train through the 20s; Kerning PQ opens at 21.
  4. At level 30 return to Grendel the Really Old, pass the instructor test (30 Dark Marbles for The Proof of a Hero, per community guides) and choose Cleric. Keep a free Use slot.

When do you become a Cleric in MapleStory Classic?

At level 30. Take 1st job as Magician from Grendel the Really Old in Ellinia at level 10, then return to the same NPC at level 30 and choose Cleric as your 2nd job.
