The World of Warcraft: Forever beta opens on 17 September 2026 and runs until 22 October. Access is not included with a subscription: it comes with the Skyborne Epic Pack at $59.99 or the Warcraft Forever Collection at $79.99. The $29.99 Heroic Pack does not include it.
How to get in
| Edition | Price | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription or Game Time | — | The base game from 4 November. Nothing else. |
| Skyborne Heroic Pack | $29.99 | Skyborne race and its starting zone, Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount, Shen'dorei Skyseer's Garb transmog, Shen'dorei Windwell toy, Skyborne housing decor, early name reservation |
| Skyborne Epic Pack | $59.99 | Everything above, plus beta access from 17 September, 30 days of Game Time from 4 November, extra cosmetics, pets and tabards, and three Invite-A-Friend launch codes |
| Warcraft Forever Collection | $79.99 | Everything above, plus Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign, and Forsaken and Human figurine housing decor for modern WoW |
| Collector's Edition | Blizzard Gear Store | Physical box plus the Warcraft Forever Collection code |
There is no opt-in list, no random invite wave and no way in through a subscription alone. If you want to play before 4 November, the Epic Pack is the entry point.
What the beta includes
- Levelling to 30. The cap is half the launch cap, so this is a look at the new zones and reworked classes rather than a run at endgame.
- The Skyborne race and the Zephras Isle starting experience.
- New zones — Mount Hyjal, Zephras Isle and The Riverglades.
- Class changes — new talents, new abilities and class and race combinations vanilla never allowed.
What it does not include
- The two launch raids and the nine new dungeons at their intended level.
- Anything that carries over. Beta characters do not transfer to live realms.
- Name reservation, which is a separate date: 27 October.

Is the Epic Pack worth it for beta access alone?
Depends what you want from it. Five weeks of a level-30 cap is a preview, not a head start — nothing you do in the beta exists on 4 November.

What the $59.99 actually buys beyond that is the Skyborne race, 30 days of game time, the cosmetics and three invite codes. If you were going to buy the Heroic Pack at $29.99 for the race anyway, the step up to Epic is $30 for beta access, a month of game time and the extras. If you were not, it is $59.99 to look early.
