Priest in WoW Forever

Racial spells become universal, Shadow Word: Death arrives baseline, and Shadowform stops being a damage-only cage.

Baseline changes — every Priest

These apply regardless of how you spend talent points.

  • Shadow Word: Death icon
    NewShadow Word: Death

Baseline at level 32. Instant Shadow damage; if it does not kill the target, you take 10% of your maximum health.

  • Fear Ward icon
    ChangedFear Ward

Available to every Priest at level 20. Previously a Dwarf racial — one of the oldest balance complaints in vanilla, now gone.

  • Devouring Plague icon
    ChangedDevouring Plague

Available to every Priest at level 20, no longer Undead-only.

  • Divine Spirit icon
    ChangedDivine Spirit

Baseline at level 30 instead of a talent.

  • Prayer of Healing icon
    ChangedPrayer of Healing

Heals the target’s party and their pets, rather than only your own party.

  • Renew icon
    ChangedRenew

Multiple Priests can keep Renew on the same target simultaneously.

  • Fade icon
    ChangedFade

    Threat reduction doubled.

Gains Penance and a shield-centred identity, with Divine Aegis turning critical heals into absorbs.

  • Penance icon
    NewPenance

21-point talent. Two-second channel on a 12-second cooldown; heals an ally or damages an enemy.

  • Soul Warding icon
    NewSoul Warding

16-point talent. Cuts the cooldown and mana cost of Power Word: Shield. Requires Improved Power Word: Shield.

  • Renewed Hope icon
    NewRenewed Hope

Raises crit chance of direct heals on targets carrying Weakened Soul, and shortens that debuff.

  • NewTwin Disciplines

Row 1. Increases damage and healing from instant-cast spells.

  • Divine Aegis icon
    ChangedDivine Aegis

Critical heals create a 12-second absorb shield. Does not stack.

  • Mental Strength icon
    ChangedMental Strength

Moved to row 4 and now raises Intellect by percentage rather than mana.

  • Force of Will icon
    RemovedForce of Will

Gone. Unbreakable Will folded into Silent Resolve; Improved Power Word: Fortitude is baseline.

Holy

Healer

Picks up Binding Heal and Prayer of Mending; Lightwell does not survive the trip.

  • Prayer of Mending icon
    NewPrayer of Mending

31-point talent behind Spirit of Redemption. Heals when the target next takes damage, then jumps to up to five allies within 20 yards.

  • Binding Heal icon
    NewBinding Heal

16-point talent. Heals you and your target at once, 1.5-second cast, no cooldown.

  • Searing Light icon
    ChangedSearing Light

Redesigned: increases all Holy damage and gives Holy Fire a chance to make your next Holy Nova free.

  • ChangedLitany of Light

Refunds mana when your healing spell differs from the one you cast before it — a direct nudge away from spamming one button.

  • Inspiration icon
    ChangedInspiration

Now triggers from any non-periodic critical heal.

  • Lightwell icon
    RemovedLightwell

Removed, along with Improved Prayer of Healing.

Shadowform is the headline: all non-healing spells now work inside it.

  • NewDevouring Contagion

Row 5. Cheapens Devouring Plague and makes it jump to an enemy within 5 yards when its host dies.

  • NewEarly Demise

Row 6. More Shadow Word: Death crit against targets under 20% health.

  • Improved Mind Flay icon
    NewImproved Mind Flay

Row 3. More damage and range, less self-imposed slow.

  • Shadowform icon
    ChangedShadowform

Redesigned. Every non-healing spell is usable in form, Shadow spells cost 50% less mana, and Shadow crit damage is doubled. The flat Shadow damage bonus comes down to pay for it.

  • Vampiric Embrace icon
    ChangedVampiric Embrace

    Now a 16-point talent in row 3; lasts 30 seconds on a 1-minute cooldown.

  • Shadow Weaving icon
    ChangedShadow Weaving

Only benefits the Priest who casts it, and the increase is smaller — the end of stacking multiple Shadow Priests for one raid buff.

Levelling a Priest to 60

About 150 hours of play for a first character by community estimates, and Blizzard has announced no WoW Token or paid boost for Forever. If the Priest changes above are why you are rolling one, this is what skipping the climb costs on the pre-order market.

Market prices: pre-order listings on lfcarry.com, wowvendor.com, skycoach.gg, kingboost.net and others, checked 2 October 2026. Our own rates go up when realms open — no one can deliver Forever gold before 4 November.
