Leveling · Shadow · 17/0/34
Shadow and wand leveling
A solo questing build that starts with a stronger wand and ends in Shadowform. You open with Shadow Word: Pain and Mind Blast, shield yourself, and finish with Mind Flay or the wand, with Spirit Tap refunding mana after kills.
- Wand Specialization first: early wands carry most of your damage before level 20.
- Spirit Tap raises Spirit after kills and keeps some regeneration while casting, which cuts drinking between pulls.
- Mind Flay (20 points) with Improved Mind Flay is the main filler and slows the target, and Devouring Contagion spreads Devouring Plague when a target dies.
- Improved Power Word: Shield and Mental Strength make the self-shield and mana pool carry more fights.
- Shadowform at 31 Shadow points halves Shadow spell costs and reduces Physical damage taken.
Suggested order: Wand Specialization, Spirit Tap, Improved Mind Blast and Mind Flay, then Discipline points once Shadowform is in reach.
Raid DPS · Shadow · 14/3/34
Shadow raid DPS
The level-60 Shadow build for raids and dungeons. You stay in Shadowform, keep Shadow Word: Pain and Vampiric Embrace up, use Mind Blast and Shadow Word: Death on cooldown, and fill with full Mind Flay channels.
- Shadowform (31 points, needs Vampiric Embrace) halves Shadow spell costs, adds Shadow damage and doubles the crit damage bonus of Shadow spells.
- Shadow Weaving stacks a personal Shadow damage taken debuff, and Darkness adds flat Shadow damage.
- Improved Mind Flay makes each tick stronger than the last, so finish the channel instead of clipping it.
- Vampiric Embrace heals your party from your Shadow damage, and Dark Inspiration raises your party's Spirit after Mind Blast or a full Mind Flay.
- Shadow Focus adds Shadow hit; Twilight Focus in Holy protects every cast from pushback.
Devouring Contagion and Early Demise are low-impact in single-target fights; Spirit Tap is a swap for dungeon farming.
Healer · Holy · 18/33/0
Holy raid healer
A Holy-focused healer for raids and dungeons. You keep Renew and Prayer of Mending rolling, use Binding Heal when you and a target are both hurt, and alternate heal spells so Litany of Light refunds mana.
- Prayer of Mending (31 points, needs Spirit of Redemption) bounces between up to five party or raid members as they take damage.
- Litany of Light returns mana when your heal is a different spell from the previous one, which rewards mixing Renew, Flash Heal, Heal and Binding Heal.
- Binding Heal (16 points) heals you and the target, tuned by Blizzard to be as good as Flash Heal even when you need no healing.
- Spiritual Guidance and Spiritual Healing raise healing, and Improved Healing makes the main heals cheaper.
- From Discipline: Meditation keeps part of your mana regeneration going while casting, Mental Strength adds Intellect, and Inner Focus gives a free, more likely crit heal.
Mental Agility or Holy Precision can replace Improved Power Word: Shield if you run short on mana or need Dispel Magic to land.
PvP · Discipline · 36/15/0
Discipline PvP healer
A sturdy healer for battlegrounds and world PvP built around Power Word: Shield and Penance. You shield first, heal through Weakened Soul with boosted crit chance, and save Power Infusion for a teammate's burst.
- Soul Warding (16 points) lowers Power Word: Shield's cooldown and cost, and Renewed Hope gives extra crit chance on targets with Weakened Soul while shortening it.
- Penance (21 points) is an instant-start channel that heals an ally or damages an enemy, and Twin Disciplines adds to instant spells.
- Divine Aegis turns crit heals into a short absorb shield, which pairs with Renewed Hope's crit bonus.
- Silent Resolve shortens Stun, Fear and Silence, Martyrdom can prevent pushback after you take a crit, and Twilight Focus protects casts from pushback.
- Power Infusion (31 points) raises a teammate's spell damage and healing for 15 sec.
Spell Warding and Blessed Recovery are the survival picks in Holy; Inspiration is an alternative if you face mostly melee.
How these builds are made
We start from the builds Classic players know for each role, then rebuild them on the Forever trees from the launch client (build 1.60.1.70707), where many talents were renamed, moved or changed. Every build is checked for the Classic rules: 51 points, 5 points per row, prerequisites. They are starting points, not tested rankings; adjust them to your gear and group.Answers
Priest builds FAQ
What is a good Priest leveling build in WoW Forever?
Shadow and wand leveling (17/0/34). A solo questing build that starts with a stronger wand and ends in Shadowform. You open with Shadow Word: Pain and Mind Blast, shield yourself, and finish with Mind Flay or the wand, with Spirit Tap refunding mana after kills.
What Priest builds are there for level 60?
Shadow raid DPS (14/3/34); Holy raid healer (18/33/0). Each one opens in our talent calculator.
Are these Priest builds final?
They are built on the WoW Forever launch client, build 1.60.1.70707, and follow the class changes Blizzard published. Blizzard can still hotfix talents after launch; we update the builds when it does.
Can I use two Priest builds?
Yes. Forever has dual spec from launch, so you can keep a leveling or PvP build next to a raid build.
