Leveling · Arms · 31/20/0
Arms leveling (two-handed)
A two-handed questing build for 1 to 60. It goes down Arms to Mortal Strike, picking up Anger Management and Weaponmaster on the way, then spends the rest in Fury for crit, extra Rage and Enrage. Rage is scarce in Forever, so most of the early points are about generating it.
- Improved Tactical Mastery into Anger Management gives a steady trickle of Rage in combat and slows Rage loss between pulls.
- Improved Rend leads into Deep Wounds and Impale, so crits leave a bleed and hit harder.
- Weaponmaster works with any two-hander: crit for axes and polearms, armor ignore for maces and staves, extra attacks for swords.
- Mortal Strike is the main hard-hitting instant and cuts healing on the target.
- Fury side: Cruelty and Unbridled Wrath for crit and Rage, Lingering Rage to carry Rage into the next pull, Blood Craze for health between fights, Enrage for damage after being hit.
Spearing Strike is skipped; take a point in it if you spend a lot of time fighting Giants or Dragonkin.
Raid DPS · Fury · 19/32/0
Fury raid DPS (dual wield)
A dual-wield build for raids and dungeons at 60. It takes Fury to Bloodthirst with Flurry, Death Wish and Raging Blows, and uses the Arms points for Anger Management, Deep Wounds and Impale. It plays around keeping Rage flowing from auto attacks and spending it on Bloodthirst, Whirlwind and Execute.
- Cruelty, Unbridled Wrath, Furious Precision and Dual Wield Specialization all feed off-hand hits and Rage generation, which matters because crits now give extra Rage.
- Raging Blows makes Whirlwind hit with both weapons and lowers Cleave and Whirlwind cost.
- Death Wish is the main damage cooldown; Flurry speeds up swings after a crit.
- Bloodthirst no longer heals in Forever; it is an instant attack plus a short movement speed boost.
- Arms: Anger Management for passive Rage, Deep Wounds and Impale for crit damage.
Enrage only triggers after you take a hit, so it is left out here; tanks or players who get hit often can move points into it.
Tank · Protection · 0/9/42
Protection tank (deep shield)
A shield tank build for dungeons and raids. It goes all the way to Shield Slam with Bastion, Defiance and Focused Rage, and puts the last points in Fury for crit and Rage. Most of the tree is about turning blocks, dodges and parries into Rage so you can hold threat from the first second.
- Shield Specialization and Master of Defense generate Rage when you block, dodge or parry with a shield.
- Defiance raises threat in Defensive Stance and Bastion raises all damage while a shield is equipped.
- Focused Rage, Improved Sunder Armor and Improved Thunder Clap lower Rage costs so you can start the pull sooner.
- Vanguard lets you Charge in Defensive Stance; Last Stand and Improved Shield Wall cover emergencies.
- Shield Slam is the top-row attack and can dispel a magic effect from the target.
Improved Shield Bash and Concussion Blow give extra interrupt and stun utility for dungeons.
PvP · Arms · 35/11/5
Arms PvP (two-handed)
A two-handed build for battlegrounds and world PvP. It goes deep into Arms for Mortal Strike, Improved Hamstring and Spearing Strike, then adds Piercing Howl from Fury and Iron Will from Protection. The goal is to stay on a target, cut its healing and keep it slowed.
- Mortal Strike reduces healing on the target, the main reason Arms is the usual PvP pick.
- Improved Hamstring can root a target in place on top of the slow.
- Spearing Strike dismounts mounted players and hits mounted targets harder.
- Piercing Howl slows everyone around you; Iron Will shortens stuns and fears.
- Weaponmaster, Deep Wounds and Impale keep the two-hander hitting hard.
How these builds are made
We start from the builds Classic players know for each role, then rebuild them on the Forever trees from the launch client (build 1.60.1.70707), where many talents were renamed, moved or changed. Every build is checked for the Classic rules: 51 points, 5 points per row, prerequisites. They are starting points, not tested rankings; adjust them to your gear and group.Answers
